Description

This was done for my friend John Biernat some 40 years ago. I suspect it would have been published in one of the Dragon Lady strip reprint books but can't verify that. Published or not, what a knock-out Bret did here. So much to love and so invested in the source material.

Va Va Va Voom! If you close in on your focus, you can ignore the danger on the outer perimeter. Pretty fine finishes by Blevins to bring the old style to life once more. It's different than his superhero work that required the more grim and gritty style.

Love these early Blevins pieces before he really solidified his style. Great work.

It's amazing just how good of an illustrator Bret was even early on in his career! Of course, it helps that he always had a healthy respect for classic strip art. Great piece!
