Description

A great all-out action page as Batman fights off the Gotham Police force here - Paul fills each panel with great frenetic energy and sharp cuts like a close-quarters cinematic fight scene. Look at that grit and determination in Batman's face! It all culminates in the larger bottom panel with Batman caught in the net. Is this the end of Batman? (it is not).

Very nice! Pope uses familiar Batman tropes and makes them more visceral and gutsy. Influenced by European illustrative techniques!
