My prized pickup from the Fall 2023 Comic Art Live convention! According to Geof (who I bought it from directly), he drew this piece when the Reboot Legion was in its prime, with the intent of getting it published somewhere. That never panned out (which is in some ways a shame, because I would LOVE to see this coloured!), but thanks to the wonderful event we know as Comic Art Live, it's now a part of my collection, instead!

I could honestly go on forever about all the things I love about this piece. There's something about the composition Geof chose that just really speaks to me. I love the choice to have all the Legionnaires in the same tree (and one can also imagine the friendly bickering that might have happened as all seven characters tried to find their own space in the branches). I think it really embodies the hopeful, wondrous, inquisitive spirit of this incarnation of the Legion. I like to imagine the characters here have been transported to some foreign world and have scaled the tree to get their bearings. You can see Saturn Girl peering at something in the distance, Cosmic Boy talking the team through their next move, Spark feeling a little disgruntled by her tenuous position in the tree, and Brainiac Five halfway into jumping down to go investigate something he's spotted. I love how detailed the tree itself is, and how it serves as the perfect prop to station so many characters around. And speaking of characters, I love how this piece features Kinetix and Gates, some of the Reboot Legion's best new introductions, as well as Spark and Chameleon, and also Brainiac Five, Saturn Girl, and Cosmic Boy, three of my favourite Legionnaires in any incarnation.

A huge thank-you goes out to Geof for putting this piece up for sale, too! He's a great guy, and he does great work.
