Description

Day 13. Thirty-One days of Star Wars (2024 edition) continues!

Ibtisam was a female Mon Calamari Rogue Squadron pilot on the mission to the planet Ciutric IV to retrieve former Imperial Grand Vizier Sate Pestage and return him safely to the New Republic. By this point, she and fellow Rogue Nrin Vakil had grown very close, and their friendship was bordering on romance. An unusual circumstance as he was a Quarren from Mon Cala, and the Quarren and Mon Calamari often had a tense coexistence on their home world. But when Ibtisam is shot down by Imperial TIE fighters, Nrin Vakil lashes out at Pestage. On this page, as Vakil and Pestage are separated, Rebels and former Imperials debate points of view while awaiting word from the rescue team dispatched to find Ibtisam.

Special thanks to my dad for picking this page up as a Christmas gift for me last year.

I know your sister loved Kris Kringle and your eyes when you smile
You forever loved your comics and your thighs
The Rebels will extract at the Crespo Wallace line
And I'll love them endlessly

I won't let these Rebel wings
Slip out of the town
But if I do
It's you
Oh gift you
They add up to
It's in Force with you
And all these Rebel Wings

What the heck, man? Your wife knows how to buy you soriginal art. Your sister knows how to buy original art, your father knows how to buy you some original art. That's an awesome family you've got there, pal! I suggest you hang onto them.

Steve posted a bunch of his pages in an Etsy store of all places, and I happened across it a couple of years back. The prices were very reasonable, and I picked up a few and mentioned it to Stacey. It would seem she led the family there and cleaned him out. I have periodically been getting pages as gifts from family members ever since. They know me well.
