DescriptionNever thought I'd be able to secure a complete Spirit twice-up story, but here it is!In this story, the Spirit finds himself in a small Korean town taken over by the thug King Kwang and his men. On this page the Spirit helps some locals escape as government forces, and the Spirit, move in on Kwang. Per Denis Kitchen, the art throughout the story is principally Eisner but most of the detailed backgrounds are probably by Andre LeBlanc and Klaus Nordling. Eisner was especially pleased with his "fluid figure work" on this page in reviewing this story with columnist Tom Heintjes. For me, this page in particular showcases Eisner's skills, especially in the panels with the Spirit. Soon after this time in the Spirit's publication, Eisner started handing off most of the art duties to assistants. Thanks to Denis and Stacey Kitchen for making this a very pleasant transaction.
