Description

From Heritage Auctions "Penthouse Comix #21 Story Page 21 Original Art (Penthouse, 1997). Francis distracts a deadly alien as Lara stays out of sight on this page from the adult science fiction tale "Lana X" by Bo Hampton. Ink and screentone over graphite and blue pencil on Bristol board with an image area of 12" x 16.25"."

Never read the story but knew Penthouse was producing some comics and had major talent on their books. Being a big Bo Hampton fan I was blown away by his art on this page. I emailed him about it and he stated that the page rate was so good that it was nice to be able to take your time and go the extra mile.

Just a fantastic page.

Grat throwback to the golden age of sci-fi with Hampton taking that classic aesthetic to new horizons. Penthouse Comix paid the best page rate around and attracted the great talents of the day!
