DescriptionI doubt anyone will be bothered by this, but I'm still gonna address it. YES! I have placed a JLE page within my JSA folder. I did it on purpose and I've got the art page stored with my other JSA pieces as well. To me... it was the right thing to do.Growning up, there was a clear list of Earth 2 heroes and a clear list of Earth 1 heroes. Kara Zor-L/Power Girl was the cousin of Earth 2 Superman and was basically "adapted" by him and his wife Lois. And then DC stirred up the pot and put the two earths together (which was fine) but they kept doing it. And in the end, they gave her anger issues and some really strange storylines. I couldn't keep up and stopped trying. But about THIS page. The JLE stories had some unusual characters that were based in Europe and dealt with some rather odd situations. This page has Power Girl taking on Echidna, an ancient snake woman that had been trapped long ago by Wonder Woman's Amazons. Now escaped, the JLE have to reign her in. The male heroes are turned to animals and the other women heroes (Crimson Fox, Dr. Light, and WW) are taken out one by one. That left Power Girl, who got the job done. Finally, I reached out to Randy Elliott (http://www.randyelliottart.com) for a commission and discovered he was willing to sell some of the JLE art he inked. OH BOY... I was like a kid in a candy shop! It took me a while to get access to those old '90s issues but eventually came up with some pages that Randy had. And if anyone has interest in buying some art from Randy, don't hesitate to reach out to him. He is a great guy! Social/Sharing |
