Powerhouse movie star image. Frazetta gave this a modern day setting for this composition usually reserved for grand fantasy barbarian works. Perhaps, Eastwood wanted his character to be thought of that way in his performance and asked for it.

I believe Clint asked specifically for it to be Frazetta and did give a fair bit of direction and also modeled for it.

Yeh very cool, also great that Frazetta invited Clint to come to his house and choose his favourite prelim. You can see that it was not the norm from how large and nice these prelims are when you compare them with his usual tiny pieces for all his usual covers etc.
