DescriptionDay 25. Thirty-one days of Star Wars (2025 edition).On May 25, 1977, Star Wars made its theatrical debut. Six years later Return of the Jedi premiered on May 25, 1983. And although it had a Los Angeles premiere on May 10, the Solo film released nationwide in the USA on May 25, 2018. I enjoyed the Solo movie, I’m a cheap date with low film expectations. I especially enjoyed Emilia Clarke as Qi'ra. So, to celebrate 8 years since her introduction to that galaxy far, far away, I'm posting a page from Crimson Reign issue #5 "The Scarlett Queen." Lady Qi'ra has used every tool at her disposal to generate chaos in the Galactic Empire, all to further her goal of eradicating the Sith. But as the final phase of Qi'ra's grand plan is revealed, she is about to learn a lesson that the Jedi Order also came to understand. Underestimate Emperor Palpatine and pay the price. On this page, Vader recounts to ol' Palpy his prior meeting with Qi'ra, when she was trying to auction off the frozen Han Solo, possibly because of how he treated her in the aforementioned film. Let’s just say there were aggressive negotiations between the Scarlett Queen and the Sith Lord. I purchased this one from Steven back in January of 2024, about time I posted it! Wayne Faucher handled the inking over blue lines printed on separate boards. This is the May! Social/Sharing |

You've been out crime defences for so long now

I know that you got your reasons
These inks that are pleasin' you
Can hurt you somehow
Don't you draw the Queen of Dragons, boy
She'll beat you if she duels
You know the Queen of art is always your best bet
Now Sith seems to me, some fine inks
Have been laid upon your Solo
But you only want Rogue Ones that you can't get

Very cool page! You have her battling Vader and you get the Emperor in there. My favorite is the first panel shot of just her though, really nice.
For me Qi'ra was one of the best parts of the Solo movie and the Crimson Reign arc in the modern comics.

Great action packed page and I love Cummings style of tight clean pencils. He's down a fantastic job on all his Star Wars work. Great pickup congrats!
