Description

At NYCC 23, I had the chance to talk to Bill Sienkiewicz when he didn't have a queue on the first day and it was a great chat. I didn't even think to ask about art and I had no comics to sign so was just happy with a picture and a chat.

Forward to the last day of the event and I found out Bill was doing remarques. I wanted to just talk to Bill about a piece I had commissioned from Steven Defendini but a guy in the queue convinced me to jump out the queue (whilst he held my place) so I could go and get a blank. (so so thankful to Roberto Zanzi).

It took me all of a minute to decide to do this. I instantly decided on Magik as the character and asked Bill to do it on the back on the blank as there is more real estate. My plan is to cut it from the comic and frame it on the wall. Bill took a lot of care and attention on the remarque and I loved watching a master at work.

Afterwards, excited like a school boy, I then took it down to Chris Claremont to also sign.

Dream complete!
