During the time David Petersen and I were discussing this commission, I asked my ( then very young ) daughter how she thought the piece should look..... Upon seeing the Prelim she drew, we kept to it, it was perfect! See additional image

These illustrations are handled with more care than most fantasy illustrators today. The quality shows Petersen's devotion to his property.
