DescriptionDay 12. Thirty-One days of Star Wars (2024 edition) continues!Join Dan Parsons for his panel today during Comic Art Live at 3pm EST. Jedi fugitive Zayne Carrick has escaped waves of Mandalorians and Rakghouls. Carrick found a communications station and contacted the approaching Mandalorian fleet. He warned Cassus Fett (a clan progenitor of Jango and Boba) that a plague had broken out (turning folks into the Rakghouls) and told Fett not to land. Carrick made his own escape from the planet when his friends came to his rescue. Fett arrived anyway as Carrick was leaving, and, convinced of the Jedi's sincerity, annihilated the surface of the planet with missiles launched here on this page. Fett then contacted Carrick and stated he was in the Jedi's debt. At OAX 2024, there were several fundraising efforts on behalf of Dan's daughter Zyla and her cancer treatments. CAF’s own Ian Saint donated this page to the OAX auction, with the proceeds of the sale going to Zyla's GoFundMe (https://gofund.me/f20e87b8). I was happy to further support the effort with a winning bid. Well done Ian! And best wishes to Zyla, kicking cancer's ass. MTFBWY Social/Sharing |

Hey, did you find plague on planet? I don't have Jedi cash
Scott, I'll just put it on my Cassus art
I'm never gonna pay him back, Jedi Zayne
'Cause I have thirty one day art post with Old Republic
When he calls, I tell him I can't pay him back yet (Cassus in debt)
Tomorrow, I may buy myself a pencil ink set
Or bomb the planet
Comic art debt, Parsons ink best
Carrick and Fett

The missiles themselves become a sort of plague. Great initiative and pick up!

I hadn't really paid attention to the content of the page before the auction. But after winning and taking a closer look, that bottom panel as a whole has a Robotech vibe going on with the ship and the missile tracks. It may be time to rewatch the Macross saga.

You know, I don't think I've ever met Scott either. I'll now expect him to wear a beret and snap a lot.

It made it to the right hands and anything to help Zyla's cause.
