DescriptionThis is a great example of what can be done with the comic (or graphic novel) medium. It's not simply a splash page view from above, but the page is organized as a stage which is partially transparent to offer a glimpse of the pursuit between Dredd and the chased adversary of the story.The lower two panels placed on the splash image continue the sequence in an asymmetric pattern showing the opponents passing mannequins. It's a great contrast between the quarry's frantic rush and Dredd's calmness and ice cold precision on the hunt which Dan Cornwell conveys expertly. Social/Sharing |

Great cross section construction of the setting to show the chase scene for us to follow. The inset panels get us right into the action with the spatial relationship already established.
