This is great! I love the silhouettes of the tattered phone cords and foliage as only Kieth does

Really nice with Kieth's signature stringy threads included. No one else quite like him. The silhouette of the landscape also looks like Wolverine is hanging on the tip of the nose of a monster.

I both understand why this wasn't used but wish it was. Not the rabid detail you expect from Kieth, but the composition is incredible and compelling.

Surprising cover by Sam Kieth for Marvel Comics Presents...Wolverine. Gorgeous silhouette of Wolvie climbing up towards a treelined hillside from a very steep--impossilby steep--cliff. The simplicity of the black silhouetted cover suggests Wolverine's feral nature without actually showing it. It's a beautifully subtle cover that implies more than it shows. I love the simplicity and I bet the pure black and white imagery really stood out on a spinner rack or magazine shelf. Cool design, IMHO.
