8.5x14" artboard w/John Byrne's line art transferred to this stat, which was then hand-painted by Milestone colorist Noelle Giddings, utilizing mixed media. This original color art was then used to produce the actual comic book cover. Kobalt #1 was published by DC Comics under their Milestone imprint June 1994. Cover shows Kobalt gripping his weapon. Large blank portion on the bottom margin w/thin blank portion along the right side. Light edge and corner wear, but in Exc. condition.
