Description

At a time when John was getting convention requests for sketches of Swamp Thing, Abby Arcane, John Constantine, and a Phantom Stranger or two, I had the temerity to request a Supergirl sketch. Imagine that! Without realising it, I had set the foundation in place for a distaff World�s Finest series. Would Steve Bissette come on board as well?

It actually looks pretty cool with the brightness of Supergirl's costume muted down and placed into the Sawmp Thing universe of mystics and the occult. A realistic take by Moore, Totleben and Bissette would have cut through all the fluffy and cheery stuff and delved deep into her psyche about her lost home and childhood trauma that the audience just wasn't ready for.
