Description

In this story by DC writer Jack C. Harris, an ugly duckling goes to extreme lengths to become her high school's beautiful swan, ultimately reaping disaster. On these pages, she acquires magical "Night Beauty" facial cream from a sketchy beautician and experiments with its unexpected effects.

As on other pages in the story, some of the markers (perhaps the thinner nibbed ones) have faded more than others. The crayon and Craftint textures remain unchanged. I love the player getting beaned with the football in the last panel on page 4.

She must have put some of that cream on her haunches too! Look at the fine manner of Morrow's good girl art! Always a nice blend of zip and line. This art might have been the inspiration for Sir-Mix-A-Lot!
