DescriptionSal generously drew 2 headshots of Black Panther on 8.5"x11" board while at Terrificon that I brought home and later inked during a work break in order to offer for sale online or at a show. I inked the sole Panther head first and then the version from our stint, with the character being combined with the "Happy Pants Panther" as coined by Christopher Priest, a Kirbyesque version (cue the Kirby crackle) out of time and introduced in BP #35 and appeared again in #40 through #49, our final issue. Both were completed January 6, 2024.These are commission #75-76 over my pal Sal. These are my 57th-58th Black Panther pieces. Note: the piece with both headshots sold, but the one with a BP solo head shot is available for 90 dollars. Social/Sharing |

Love the inclusion of Happy Pants Panther (and his powers of ESP!!) in this. That was a really fun and unexpected part of Marvel Knights BP.
I really appreciate the work you did alongside Sal Velluto and Christopher Priest on this run as well by the way. I was a 90s X-Men cartoon kid and got into comics through that, but I don't think I was truly excited about comics until the Marvel Knights era. Black Panther was a huge part of that for me. Thanks!

Thanks kindly for sharing that! It always warms my heart to hear that our stint on the series was entertaining for so many and readers still retain such fond memories of what we tried to do as a team.
