Description“The hungry piranha swims up the murky Amazon river, hunting for its next mea…Wait…is that a…guy in a trench coat? I can’t quite make him out, what is he doing? Oh…Oh, my! Turn off the cameras!!”- Sir David AttenboroughThere are certain things we simply do not do with the local floral and fauna, even if one is invisible. Especially with the angry, toothy things. Man, I loved the work of Duck Edwing. His oddball and dirty sense of humor was exactly my cup of tea. I was that tiny duck watching by the door, but I was smiling. It’s among my favorite stuff from that wonderfully subversive mag. Mad Magazine was a big part of my youth, so getting these pages is pure nostalgia from a drip bag going straight into my veins. Thank you to my wonderful wife and daughter, who grok my weirdness to such a level, that this was my Father’s Day gift. Heh. They get me. Should I be concerned? Social/Sharing |

Should you be concerned...hmm...wellll...you're asking yourself the question, right? :)
Helluva poppa's day gift, man! I mean, there are some things you just should NOT do! Lesson learned. Gotta love the receptionist's cap and hair flying straight up! Congrats, J!

Keep the fork out of light sockets, and if you see a piranha, well, just don't. Heh, thank you, Kahlil!

Yeah, as you and Marcus point out, they got pretty dirty on the pages of Mad back in the day. Let's just say, it was an education at times. Or a cautionary tale! Thank you

Even for the 90's this would have been edgy for MAD! Great solo gag by one of the famed Gang of Idiots!

I hope the doctor manages to do his magic. If not, the next time at the beach he will have a hard time steering with that rudder.

Mad Magazine was a part of a lot of comic art fans' childhoods. I know I read Mad as a kind of break between issues of Spider-Man and Daredevil comics. This is a very funny gag, a little past my Mad reading days, but still a great sight gag. Too bad Mad has stopped publishing new satire to warp today's youth. Anyway, great pick-up, congrats!
