Description

Houston rarely got big fun shows but for a while in the early 00's there was a fella from Dallas that would put on pretty great shows here. Very comic focused. One year he got Jim Mahfood and Scott Morse to come down. I had Scott's contact info so i asked him to do a Captain America punching Red Skull for me to pick up at the show. this was a little after 9/11 and everyone was feeling patriotic and this was (i felt) something i really wanted to see -- Captain America kicking ass! but, i wanted to keep it in the fantasy world and nothing depressing so Red Skull seemed like a good counterpart. Punching NAZI's is pretty damn timeless. Scott said he had to research what the red skull's costume looked like. i don't know what he found to use but this is pretty cool and i like that he kept it cartoony.

sorry for the bad photo but i had it framed and the framer didn't use anti glare glass so i took the photo from far away and in the dark, zoomed in, then adjusted the brightness to the photo to try to get as little reflection as possible.
