DescriptionI would have loved to have access to this title in my childhood. Comics generally weren’t considered suitable reading material by our parents – not at all real literature. I imagine myself boldly asserting - but mom, this is Sherlock Holmes... this is Arthur Conan Doyle! Renegade Comics publishing “The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes” did much to reintroduce this character to modern audiences, as each issue featured a complete, unabridged story adorned with wonderful illustrations from Dan Day. That his depictions of Holmes and Watson bore remarkable resemblances to Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce was an added bonus!Social/Sharing |

Looks so good with the Day brother's using their illustrative prowess to bring scenes from the stories to life. Definitely a conscious choice to use these well known versions and photos to create the likenesses.
