Descriptionthis one is fun....DC didn't have the crazy huge booths yet they would later be known for. at a table in their area was mark waid and Leinil. not a huge line. they had just announced the superman book (Birthright?). i asked Leinil if he was sketching. he held up a fat marker and said that was all he had on him. i pulled out my little school supply pouch and told him to grab what he needed. he proceeded to draw this in what i seem to recall seconds. he said mark would get upset if he saw he wasn't practicing superman but he really enjoyed drawing batman. the guy in line behind me was freaking out. i still remember the look of dissapointment when i grabbed my pouch and all my pens and markers back from Leinil and walked off. always be prepared!! a lesson i forgot later on with another artist but luckily someone else came to my rescue......
