DescriptionSomewhere between cover pencils and a prelim. Rob does tight pencil prelims and then scans, enlarges, and prints them as blue lines on bristol to ink.I think Declan is doing a great job with this new Thundercats series, and Rob is hitting it out of the park with his variant covers. I believe he'll be doing 5 in total, excited to see the rest. The layout of this one is slightly reminiscent of Jim Lee's classic cover of Conan 242. I'm not sure if it's an intentional homage or maybe I'm just seeing things! :) Either way very happy to have my first piece from Rob, hopefully more to come! Social/Sharing |

It's got what Liefeld does best! The intensity leaps off the design! Raw emotions are strong from the raw pencil form. The guys at Dynamite see that Liefeld variants are of their strongest sellers.
