Description"The Dead Draftees of Regiment Six!" by Michael Fleisher and Russell Carley. Fourteenth page of the 18-page story.Ghosts of dead Union soldiers exact their revenge on the registrar who conned them into being drafted. His sword knocks over a gas lamp, starting a fire. The conflagration galvanizes draftees in a passing wagon to add fuel to the fire. Social/Sharing |

Sadly, these tales don't get old as the lessons about war never reach those who perpetuate war. It's finely illustrated by Garcia-Lopez with lots of drama as the past sins catch up to this man. Only in these tales do we actively root for the ghosts!

Nobody can ground a story as well as JLGL, just look at that final panel.
