DescriptionGoin' old school Guardians tonight with this great cover by Kevin West and Steve Montano.Yellowjacket is Rita DeMara, a small time criminal from our time who stole the original Yellowjacket Suit created by Hank Pym. As Yellowjacket, DeMara did the villainous thing for a while -- including clashing with the Wasp (Janet van Dyne) -- but after two stints in prison, she did some good heroic stuff and became an honorary member of the Avengers. But then she tried the evil thing once more, and during an invasion of Avengers mansion as a member of the new Masters Of Evil, she encountered the time traveling Guardians of the Galaxy, who she decided to help and then followed back to the 31st Century ... where she did a bunch of cool 31st Century stuff, like battle Ripjak. Anyway, a super fun cover that I'm very happy to have, as I love the Wasp and by extension, this version of Yellowjacket. Thanks for looking. Social/Sharing |

A cover designed for four color fun! They knew there would be a good chance the colors of red and yellow would come together that way to make one of the more memorable looking books of the later run.

She did TWO stints in prison? Well, with her body, if all those "women in prison" movies starring Linda Blair taught me anything, it's that she got turned out for sure! Rita DeMara > Hank Pym!

So '90s, and you gotta dig it! What I really like about this one is how big the baddie is that you almost gotta take a step back - his head's the whole background! Congrats!

No idea who Ripjak is, but he should definiely have his own solo series with a name like that!
