Description

As far as modern artists go, Ryan Stegman is one of my absolute favorites. Since I started collecting OA in 2021, I've been able to get quite a few Sketches by him, but this makes my first Published Page of his work. This 2/3 Splash page is absolutely AMAZING. I actually like it better than if it was a Full Splash page cuz the 3 panels above it only add to it. The placement of the 3 panels couldn't be better either. Ryan Stegman is a modern master when it comes to conveying movement in his sequential art. At this point in the battle, Lee Price, as Maniac, has grown to be 40' tall. With all his military training, he has complete control over the symbiote. Agent Anti-Venom (Flash Thompsons) is presumed dead after Price hit him with a tree. Venom (Eddie Brock), to avenge Thompson, attacks & tirelessly tries (and fails) to get Price out of the symbiote. Maniac then starts to engulf Venom. Black Cat (Felicia Hardy) comes to help and gets the dog sh!t slapped out of her before she can even finish her sentence of "I'm coming---" *SPTOO*! With that blow from the symbiote tendril, Maniac was also attempting to re-enslave her. The next page, Black Cat realizes that once someone has freed themselves before, he can't control them again! It's such a good story. You guys need to check it out. For some reason, Marvel only released a Trade Paperback Collected Edition of this ASM Event. It's odd cuz Marvel released 5 other Oversized Hardcovers of the previous and following issues. Last year, I was able to get a Custom Bound OHC containing the whole Venom Inc run and the other 7 issues. Last October, Ryan Stegman & Dan Slott signed it during NYCC 2023. I'll add photos of it below.

It's only missing Spidey. Here's the cool thing though...Venom Inc: Omega was Ryan Stegman's last full issue interior credits until his Venom series with Donny Cates issue #1 came out 5 months later. Sadly, this Published Page isn't signed (yet). I can't wait to have both Ryan and Jay sign it one day and have it framed.
