DescriptionI love Jason's work! He has a beautiful and unique style. Instantly recognizable. Each of his pieces draws the attention of the viewer, and invites them to imagine the story conjured by the image. This one is graphite and color pencil. Very striking.Social/Sharing |

The pencil texture makes you think to run your hand through the silky smooth waves of fur. Seems like the big cat could use it with its head down. The girl is there to give us scale and see that it is big, yet gentle enough to be her protector.

Marcus,
His work is pretty amazing. I love these studies. He just did a Grimm's Fairy Tales for Easton press. It is filled with amazing full color pieces. Wonderful artist!

It is a little beauty. I love the detail, and the mixture of tones and color. Glad you enjoyed it.

I have seen Mowry's work in the Suntup Press editions of Thomas Harris's Hannibal books. This is the first original art piece by him that I have seen on CAF. A beauty!

Satya,
I love his work. Such a distinct style. He also has an Easton Press Grimms' Fairy Tales illustrated edition. From what I have seen, it is a beauty! Jason desreves much more recognition. I'm thrilled to have this piece in my small collection. Glad yoy enjoyed it.
