Description

John Buscema and Marie Severin Epic Illustrated #12 "Weirdworld" Splash Page 1 Original Art (Marvel, 1982). Tyndall, Velena, and Mud-Butt's quest for the Glorywand brings them face to face with the Wizard of Skyhook Mountain, Lianissa, on this opening splash page. An exquisitely crafted fantasy page from the epic "The Dragonmaster of Klarn" story arc within the celebrated "Weirdworld" saga, serialized in the pages of Epic Illustrated. Crafted in ink and marker over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10.5" x 15". Whiteout text correction, spot stain on the right margin, and production tape on the top and bottom margins. In Excellent condition.

It has a sheer beauty to it with Buscema and Severin both having lots of experience in the fantasy genre at Marvel. They just knew how to draw to communicate on the page even without using the Superhero style of big and broad action.

Spot on that's what I loved about it, we all love superhero pages but this just hit different and showed how diverse they both can be.
