Descriptioni wish i remembered what year this was....Carmine was set up in artist alley and he was signing copies of a book. for $100 you got a pencil sketch. i asked if he would do it in my sketchbook instead. he thought the pencils didn't show so he used the only pen he had on him. when he was done he handed me back my money but i told him to please keep it as i loved this sketch a lot. the flash has been my favorite comic book character my whole life for some reason. his design is 100% behind that. he died pretty soon after that so i'm posting this on the anniversary of his death. second pic is of him showing off his work. That smile on him! Must have been how one would feel getting a drawing from a legend!

It might be comics sacrilege to say it but I preferred the work he did on the Flash in 1980s to his silver age stuff. There is a terrifc sense of movement in your sketch. That's a great souvenir and you are a stand-up guy for making sure he kept the money.
