The Legion has whisked the Subs and the other rebels to safety from under the Dominator's noses.
However, on exiting the chamber, Grinn triggered the self destruct mechanism. Unknown to him, hoever, the Dominator underground chambers self destruct was set up as an exit strategy by the Dominators. When one was triggered, it set off a chain reactionn that blew up the rest of the chambers. While this resulted in the death of many Dominators, Projectra, Chameleon and Karate Kid were also killed.

Also of note, this was the second time Keith Giffen was responsible for the death of karate Kid.

We finally see some nice images of some Legionnaires on one of these pages and it's just in time to mourn the death of not one, not two, but THREE of them? Including the same guy for the second time?!

I'm pretty sure I Inked this entire page. No Karl here at all. The page looks so much better as Original Art than as the Printed page. Not sure why.

Jason's pencils are really nice and charming. I inked a lot of it with a Rapidograph. I thought it really suited Jason's Pencils. I really like Saturn Girl in Panel 4.
