DescriptionAt last - I got Cap! Maybe because it had "Official" in the title, I always felt the images created for the first volume of the Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe seemed iconic, as the best representation of each character. Marvel often had an artist associated with the character to provide the full body pose and, for me, no one did Cap better than artist Mike Zeck. This classic image has been used for licensing and in-house marketing but it is the simple smile and expression that shows Steve's character that makes this image so beloved. It probably is the most iconic image they can have to make it as the official entry! The image was scrutinized even more as there is only one chance to do this right.
