Day 24. Thirty-One days of Star Wars (2024 edition) continues!

This is the ninth and final one-shot in the comic book anthology series Star Wars: Age of Resistance.

A Zillo Beast wraps its serpentine body around a First Order gunship and proceeds to devour it. I think that about covers it. An all action Zillo Beast versus gunship slugfest.

I picked this page up from a fellow collector during this month�s Comic Art Live weekend (thanks Morgan!). It was really an impulse buy purely for the Zillow Beast, a creature first introduced in The Clone Wars animated series. The Zillo Beast made a dramatic return this year in Star Wars: The Bad Batch season 3, adding an unexpected twist to the finale�s story line. The Empire has been experimenting on the Zillo Beast for reasons beyond Project Necromancer, hinting at potentially sinister plans involving Dark Troopers. But that�s another Star Wars tale.

It was on a Hamscher′s inking of Leonard Kirk he’d fill
First Order rambled down a lane and devoured in whirring mill
Lucas leaving on the morrow for a land far far away
And as they nestled serpentine he heard them softly say
"I'll return my Zillow Beast art, in the Spring
And for us those Wedding bells will Jeffrey ring
And when Order wrongs are righted
Our arts will be united
I′ll return my Zillow Beast art, in the Spring."
