DescriptionInto the Spider-Verse: Spider-Man: Peter B. Parker by Steven ButlerGrowing up I was mostly a DC kid. It was not until I discovered the Scarlet Spider...that's right. Not his better known genetic duplicate...okay clone, Spider-Man that I became interested in the Marvel universe. I remember seeing Spider-Man issue 55 on the spinner rack at my aunts local 7-11 and really being taken in by the design for the Scarlet Spider. With the hoodie and the all red suit I loved how homemade was. I picked up the issue and was hooked I needed to know more. The next comic I went to hunt down was Web of Spider-Man 118 the first appearance of Ben Reilly in the Scarlet Spider costume drawn by Steven Butler. I have been following some of the commissions Steven has been creating on Sketch Prices and was extremely impressed with the quality of them. I asked Steven if he would draw I could not be happier with how this turned out. He absolutely knocked this out of the park. Peter B. Parker has become my favorite iteration of the character and is becoming a theme in my collection. I love Jake Johnson’s performance and is whose voice I now hear when I read my Spider-Man comics. Seeing Peter as a father and husband will be the way I always prefer to see him. With my age I want Peter to be married and wit MJ. I love the details he did with this piece and how he drew Mayday.
