like most kids in the 90's, i was obsessed with IMAGE and all of the fantastic new artists that were coming out from the various studios. i got out of comics and then marvel knights brought me back hardcore. i started buying OA in the late 90's/early 00's. this was one of the first pages i bought. pretty remarkable seeing as how rare JSC art is - especially interiors. while it may not have any of the characters he's famous for drawing, i think it captures a lot of his charm and certainly the nostalgia for what i loved about the 90's. the fact that its issue #0 is pretty neat too. do they still do that? i remember talking to JSC about this page many many many years later when i finally met him in person and he confided in me that backlash was referred to as butt-rash. love it. love the little notes in blue pencil that are written in the margin.
