Description

Beautiful page by Elman Brown to Richard Matheson's classic short story, which was later adapted into a comic by writer Steve Niles. Originally published as a 4-issue series by Eclipse in 1991, then in a deluxe hardcover edition by IDW in 2004. Bought this page direct from my pal Steve Niles, who wrote the adaptation. Forget the Will Smith movie, read the Matheson novel!

Truly a memorable scene. Such fine lines breaking the white backdrop. This page's light, wispy feel is in utter contrast to most of the darker, moody pages I've seen in the past. I had no idea when I grabbed my dark pages that my h.s. friend worked on the design for this series at Eclipse. Great stuff here.
