Description

I fondly remember the Jademan comics from the 80's. It was a style of art I really liked but it never seemed to catch on. They were reprinting manhua (Hong Kong Manga) with English translations. It is not often we see art from well known Chinese creators become available so I am happy to add this one to the collection.

This one is a fantastic page with the martial arts action and poses. The narration text is written in columns so they all look like words from anicent scrolls giving lessons with each pose. They were sold on street newsstands, and parents definitely chose the less violent and more humorous Old Master Q comics because they didn't want their kids looking up to people fighting.

This is exactly the style I think of first when I see the word "Anime", as it's the style I also first saw in late 80's to early 90's. Great looking page!
