DescriptionAnother Heroes add! Was super lucky to pick this one up…lotsa demand for these. CC – appreciate the hookup, man!In getting a DWJ Optimus, definitely needed one with the Megatron arm as it’s unique to DWJ’s run on the book – the visual’s just straight trippy cool, ain’t it?! Overall I dig how Optimus, and all the Transformers in the run, have that classic ‘80s look but with the gritty dynamic DWJ spin. Here it feels like Optimus is stepping out of a melee triumphant, and potentially stalking for the next throwdown. Decepticons beware – Prime’s packing some new heat y’all MAY be familiar with! And lastly, the colors, namely the red. Got some nice gradients there, with the deepest red on his left shoulder. I’ve whiffed on a couple published page drops for the series so this is a very nice consolation! “Autobots – transform, and roll out!” Well after Optimus has put the hurt on the remaining bad bots :) Social/Sharing |

I remember when it was cool for Optimus to be holding Megatron in pistol/gun form, then it was Optimus using Megatron cannons on his arm/shoulders, and now it's just him with the full Megatron cannon arm. Very cool idea, beautifully captured by DWJ in color. Congrats!

Stunning Optimus Prime sketch from the phenomenal Daniel Warren Johnson! Boy you picked this up at the right time--DWJ is getting hotter and hotter! Two Eisners--And he truly deserved both of them! I love this sketch you picked up. Even in a convention sketch, DWJ's talent shines through. So cool that he drew Optimus Prime with the Megathon arm--What a cool DWJ touch! Love the colors on this piece. The amber touches balance nicely with the bright red and the touches of slate blue! Great pick-up, congrats!
