DescriptionA stunning and classic image of SPIDER-MAN battling one of his greatest & most evil foes, the GREEN GOBLIN ... penciled and inked by the super talented Ed McGuinness.Really enjoying this latest Amazing Spider-Man #50-54 story arc. Only one issue to go! It has quite the cast of characters and quite the transformation of Peter Parker into ... well you'll have to read it to believe it ... with stellar interior art provided by Ed McGuinness, Todd Nauck, Mark Farmer and Wade Von Grawbadger. Ed also penciled all five covers and inked all but one of them (Mark Farmer inked the cover to issue 53). I'll be posting more from these five issues, so stay tuned! Social/Sharing |

AMAZING ASM cover Paul!!! epic battle. Awesome!!! That art drop had some really good stuff - I gotta catch up the current volume of ASM so I can read these issues.

Oh I KNEW it was you. I mean, who else?!?! Perfect image to commemerate the anniversay, up against his greatest and most evil foe. I know you used "one of" in your description but...yup...GG is the one! Big congats, Paul - worthy add to the Spidey collection! And how many McGuinness Spidey pieces are you up to?!

45 McGuinness Spidey pieces posted so far! :-) Oh and I think Green Goblin is Spidey's #1 foe too, but I didn't wanna rankle anyone's feathers. I think a close second would be Doc Ock. I mean, the guy hijacked Peter's body for over a year! That's something for the Villainous Hall Of Fame, lol

Few villains have affected Spidey's life as much as Green Goblin. Great cover featuring these timeless combatants.

As Kahlil pointed out, the Green Goblin is THE #1 rogue in Spidey's gallery and McGuinness killed it on this 50th issue. Congrats on adding another fine piece to your collection & taking us to school in your amazing Spiderversity!

I just replied to Kahlil that yeah, I also think Green Goblin is Spidey's #1 foe, but I didn't wanna rankle anyone's feathers in my description. I mean, with Spidey's extensive Rogue's Gallery, there's someone for everyone! Personally I believe a close second to GG would be Doc Ock. I mean, even though Ock was on his deathbed, the guy managed to somehow hijack Peter's body for over a year and BE Spider-Man! Plus I think he's come back to life a number of times, but in the comics, hey, who hasn't.

Sweet battle / struggle cover that has a yin yang feel to it! Both equally matched to fight forever. The patternwork on the scaly goblin costume parts is something new as is how many folds Spidey's costume can have!

Great cover! The run has been exceptional, but this issue even more so. Fantastic story, action & visually stunning pages, from cover-to-cover. Congrats on adding this one, love it.

Such a dynamic cover, Ed keeps knocking it out of the park with this run. Between JRJR, McGuinness and Todd Nauck, we've been spoiled with great art on Spider-Man.
