Description

The last story of issue # 6 features this classic Jack Kirby title page (Jack didn't pencil or ink any of the other pages of the story).

That being said, that would make this Jack's last contribution to a story for the greatest western comic ever created (your mileage may vary).

Opinions vary on who's inking here. The JK Checklist has Joe Simon applying the ink. Some think it's Jack inking Jack. I'm leaning toward Joe, but always looking to be corrected by those with more discerning eyes.

Either way, it's incredible. My one and only OA pick up this year at SDCC.

Great page. Personally, I don't think there's any question: That's Joe's inks on them thar pencils!

Saw this in one of the booth pics from the show and noticed it right away--excellent example from one of the King's favorite series! I'm not an expert on this era but it definitely has the classic Simon and Kirby look to it, particularly the inking of the shooting cowboy in the foreground. I'm going with Simon inks. Regardless--congrats!
