Now that is a fun backstory. I've had this Swan page for about 20 years now. Always enjoyed it, but never posted it until recently. It was my first Swan and it is special to me. Knowing the back story to the art makes it more so. Thank you for sharing.

I picked it up at SDCC from Michael T (Genesis West) so that must have been the year you saw it. The only example of these two greats in my collection so for me it was (and still is) pretty exciting. 

Love it! Love it! Love it!. What a stupendous piece of fun art by the great DeCarlo and Sinnott. 

I didn't know that. Occasionally In the past I would see an occasional Messmer Felix page and I would think about it. This one is definitely a keeper for me...Felix in every panel. He has the magic bag and is on the flying carpet in outer space. I love that one of the planets has a sign posted on it (no words...just the sign). A great example.
