At the 2024 San Diego Comic Con, Caroline Cash was awarded the �Best Limited Series� Eisner Award for her one-person anthology series, Pee Pee Poo Poo. It seemed timely, therefore, to post this title page to celebrate Cash's win. Just saying the title of Cash's anthology makes me giggle! Happy to have this example of their cartooning that has so many of the elements that make Cash's work noteworthy.

I�ve been reading comics for decades (yikes!) and it�s a thrill to see talented cartoonists with an evident love for the medium do their thing at an early stage of their career. I saw it with Los Bros Hern�ndez, Dan Clowes, Julie Doucet and many many more and it�s now equally thrilling to see Caroline Cash and others produce work that is hilarious, humane, challenging, and of the moment. It's a good time to be a comics reader.

Aside from being a cartoonist whose work and reputation has grown a lot in a very short time, Cash is also a student of the medium and its history. The covers to every issue of Pee Pee Poo Poo pay homage to (or humorously tweak) famous covers from underground and indie comics history (as you can see in the additional image with this issue�s riff on Charles Burns).

Cash is currently working on a book length graphic novel to be published in 2026 and I�m excited to see how their work continues to develop. In the meantime, you can read Cash's work in the pages of Pee Pee Poo Poo, published by Silver Sprocket Comics.

This looks like some really wacky stuff! The title alone is indeed worth the price of admission. Congrats on getting the very first page from the very first issue!

Fun piece, and yes, can't help to giggle when reading the title :) I gotta look into this book and Caroline's work. Congrats on a prime example from the Eisner winner!

haah the title did get an immediate chuckle out of me but the artwork is also interesting stylistically! thanks for sharing more info on the title and congrats on getting the first page of an Eisner winning book!

Haven't read yet, but familiar with the artist and I saw the hype about this book. It brinigs a smile knowing that it won an Eisner. Fun and hectic title splash and a solid reminder of just how wonderful indie books can be.
