Description

Knightmare was in 17 comic books. The character first shows up in the issue 1. It was a part of a six issue miniseries. The backstory is that Alec Knight, Knightmare, was a hitman whose son was killed, and his wife paralyzed by an another criminal named Logan. With the assistance of Caine, Alec becomes Knightmare and seeks his revenge. Unfortunately, Knightmare comes out in the mid-1990�s. Around the time that the comic industry retracts in size. So, the character gets scrapped and forgotten about.

If you look over this page and the miniseries, Marat Mychaels doesn�t get enough credit in our hobby. This is page is a great example of Image goodness from that era. Yep, it looks like Liefeld. So what? I like Liefeld. Also, it is drawn in the Image style that I love. Flashy, with loads of action. Just look at that last panel. You get an understanding of what Knightmare can do in a fight. The middle panel is sooooo over the top Image!

Al Vey does a great job highlighting the pencils too!

That silhouette section at the top is cool! A very intense close up like he's squinting is then followed up by open fire and the acrobatic action to dodge the bullets. Fast paced with flashly action and reaction to make it when Image is everything! For an intro page in the first issue, this is Michaels putting in the fire to his creation!
