Description8.5x14" heavy smooth hot press watercolor paper with Walt Simonson's line art transferred via stat. Simonson lent his talent to a series of covers for the "Shadow Wars" storyline, touching the Static, Icon, Hardware, Blood Syndicate, and Shadow Cabinet titles. Image is hand painted by Milestone Color Editor Noelle Giddings, utilizing mixed media (i.e., Dr. Ph. Martin dyes, watercolors, and colored pencils), also known as "Milestone 100 Color Process". This original color art was then used to produce the actual comic book cover for Icon #9, which was published by DC Comics' Milestone imprint back in January 1994.
