DescriptionThe First Appearance of Rogue! This page is the first time we see her full bodied image!! What I love about this page is it is complete. We see her fully for the time, she actively explains what her powers are, along with the first time she’s shown demonstrating her powers. ..And we’re presented for the first time what becomes her famous Knockout Kiss....even though in this case she already knocked Captain America out... Making this Kiss a double KO for Cap... Meanwhile...We get a great rendition of the whole crew of Avengers within the mansion casually hanging out oblivious to Cap’s unconsciousness conundrum... Well, this is a piece of history you don't see very often. Always interesting to see where a character begins and how it compares to where they are now. Congrats on the historic pickup!

This Golden gem of a book would have been legendary even without Rogue, but with her??? Phew- what a page!

Love the little details, like Beast holding his book with his right foot, or how the white trim on Rogue's boots echo the shape of the white trim on her jacket. A lot of people miss that element of her costume design.

If you're going to have your powers sucked out of you, there could be worse ways. Great page. Michael Golden was tops in the day!
