Description

Gorgeous piece of art that was used for solicitations but was drawn because Richard thought he was doing the cover (See his repsponse to my question). It was redrawn by Dale Keown for the acutual cover. Richard is given cover layout credit in the book. Below is an image of the published cover which is almost identical. On this piece even all of the little reflecctions of Pitt are original!

All the reflections of Pitt take it way over the top! Pace even draws one on a glass piece in front of the guy's mouth! That terrified face split with Pitt's face has raw power of true fear and anger all at once. The distorted reflections at the top make Pitt look even more demonic! Plus chains! Kids love chains!

interesting back story for this piece!!! so close to the final cover. i really dig Pace's art. congrats

Looks almost exactly like it! Pace was definitely channelling Keown! I was wondering if the smaller reflection up top was a stat - awesome that it's actually OA. Congrats!

I really don't get the point of redrawing the cover if he just copied what Pace had already drawn. Very nice job!
