Description

As a fan of Max�s work, I�d been eyeing these three pages on Splash Page Art for a few years. Now that I have them, I�m not sure why I resisted the urge for so long. After all, who doesn�t love a good page (or three) of Hulk smashing.

I love Max�s storytelling choices on this page. Especially his decision to juxtapose the massive figure in panel 2 with the small, silhouetted images of Hulk in panels 1 and 3. Coupled with his choice to go borderless in panel 2, it really heightens the destructive impact of Hulk�s landing.

It�s also nice to get this one in conjunction with page 6 that follows. Interspersing the Hulk�s rage with the mundane act of a phone call on those two pages really amplifies the bedlam of Hulk�s rampage.
