Gear by Ray-Anthony Height

I've been a fan of Ray-Anthony Height's�work for about ten years now, ever since�I first read his Midnight Tiger comic. So of course I backed Ray's Midnight Tiger Kickstarter last year, and I backed it at the commission level. For my commission, I asked Ray to draw Gear of the Legion of Super-Heroes, a bio-mechanical being with�techno-morphing abilities. Gear has the potential to be very visually interesting and detailed, depending on what the artist has him doing with his�techno-morphing abilities. And Ray has Gear forming a very detailed gun with his right arm, some flaps opening on his hips, and Gear's left hand beginning to morph into something. I love it! I also really dig the background design Ray added with a gray marker. Big thanks to Ray for this awesome commission!

Done with such great vision to create this oversized gun and the figure with just solid linework in various density without any tones for shadows! Maybe done this way to emphasize his mechanical features more than the warmth of his human side.

Killer right arm mech there! Got a techno organic vibe which I dig. And no, wasn't referring to Cable, but there are some similarities :) And yes - RAH! Great guy, great artist. Congrats!
