DescriptionAs the story continues, we discover the Absorbing Man has been paid “a lotta money to bring back a piece of tha Thing”. (Page 11 is a great splash introducing Crusher that I sure would like to get my hands on.)The two proceed to do battle on the next few pages as Creel tries steel then diamonds in an effort to do damage to Ben. However, as we see here, his diamond form is ineffective and Ben pops him one into a vat of molten metal. While action scenes like this are ubiquitous in superhero comics, I like this one more than most because it ties into the plot and sets up the heartbreak at the end. But more on that as I post the remaining pages I have from the issue. Social/Sharing |
