Description

The closing splash!

This one brings it all full circle. When the issue started, an old lady screams and calls Ben a monster. Just one more reminder of how he will forever be different and alone.

Then chance throws love his way after he saves a young woman named Jennifer from being mugged. They soon start seeing each other and Ben suddenly doesn�t feel so alone.

Only it wasn�t chance. Hoping to somehow get a piece of Ben�s unbreakable skin, Jennifer arranged the �mugging�, and then hires the Absorbing Man to try what she failed to accomplish.

With her duplicitousness revealed and his heart broken, Ben dons his famous trench coat and heads back into the world� alone again.

Just a great issue from start to finish thanks to a heartfelt script from Zeb Wells and strong cartooning on the part of Kano.

Trenchcoat clad and steppin' on out. Like the mostly shadowed figure to signal the more somber moment and the stretched Reed head is a nice touch. Congrats!

Absolutely love it. The character design is top notch, so much that those thin lines clouds weigh heavy!
