DescriptionFor Doctor Strange this is the most ideal Battle cover that Brunner could have created...For Doctor Strange to be facing one of his Arch-Foes in another world, protecting Clea knelt by his side, Strange and Fantastic scenery of this other world...and down in the bottom right corner we have Howard the Duck!Howard the Duck was removed in the final production...however we get to see him through this mystical art work.. This is one of those pieces that up close so dramatically pops way beyond what it appears on a digital screen.. The high level artistry and application of masterful Chiaroscuro Brunner applies here is utterly outstanding. His mastery of shadowing and cross hatching brings a depth to his character art that is at the top of the field. This was the first major Brunner pieces I acquired....I acquired it before Dr. Strange 2 which is also up in my Gallery. Social/Sharing |

Not too shabby!!! Are they fighting on a tentacle?!
The walkways in this world some a formed of the slimy arms of the abyss...and so infinite in length perhaps it is a cosmic tentacle but no beast is attached to this one...

Thx and well a Dormammu Cosplay would be really freaking awesome but alas I do not cosplay I become so I would have to call upon the energies of that Realm and communicate with that being but alas my cosmic plans are for another cosmic entity

Well Howard is only on the OA that's the fun Bonus seeing that Howard was traveling through these Strange Dimensions on his way to earth here what a Novelty but yea he was deleted for the final print ..and thx appreciating another Bruner piece that simply is out of this world level

Fantastic Dr. Strange piece with his arch-nemises. Definately, an iconic image of their on-going battle...with Clea and Howard thrown in too. Congrats!

Poor Howard! Banished from this classic cover! You came to bargain and the seller ultimately relented.

It's funny I assume marvel felt what somehow Howard would distract readers from the seriousness of the battle well this is where OA tells the whole story ..even in Dark Dimensions ..the previous owner was the Ancient One and I came as the new OA Sorcerer Supreme and it was for that worthy reason this piece came to me.. 🔮🌍

I picture Brunner chuckling to himself, wondering if they'll notice Howard down there. Incredible piece of Brunner/Strange/HTD history!
